Terry started his career in 1992 as a Learner Official Mine Surveying at Anglo American’s Vaal Reefs Mines in Orkney. In 1997 he had progressed to Senior Surveyor and also worked on Impala Platinum and Greenside Colliery. He took a break from mining and spent time in construction and in private equity finance.

  • Vutomi is a seasoned business improvement practitioner, having filled various BI Specialist and BI Management roles at South 32 and Seriti Coal.
  • His areas of expertise include business and process analysis, operational improvement and supervisory development and coaching.

Obakeng started his career at the Goldfields Kloof Operation He joined SGS South Africa in 2012 where he was tasked with flowsheet development and testing as well as research and development.

Published a paper at the International Minerals Processing Congress on the use of briquettes as feed into the electric arc furnace at Anglo American Barro Alto operation.

Part of the team that conducted DFS (definitive Feasibility Study) on the Kalana gold deposit.

Honey Mthembu

  • A qualified Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator. She is a transformational speaker, Business and a Life Coach as a Neurolinguistic Practitioner.
  • She has had training in Leadership Development in Ireland by He’atid group. She has vast knowledge in facilitation at the mines and understands the mining operations.
  • Past clients include: AngloGold Ashanti, Glencore, Marula Platinum, Impala, Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, Blackrock (Assmang).

  • Lebohang is vibrant, dynamic and an agile individual with over 10 years' experience in the manufacturing, mining and automotive sector; filling roles in the Operations, BI Management at Weir Minerals Africa, Alstom and Anglo Platinum.
  • She has recently completed several management consulting assignments at Anglo Platinum (Amandelbult and Waterval).
  • Her areas of expertise include leadership and change management, process analysis, operational improvement, project management, supervisory development and coaching.

Buyisiwe Shabalala

N Dip Human Resources Management (Technikon Natal).

  • Buyie is skilled and well experienced with more than 10 years’ HR experience. Having started her career as a Professional-in-Training (HR) with Kumba Iron Ore, Sishen Mine.
  • She has been involved in various HR Projects at operational level, including Strategic Business Projects at different Kumba Iron Ore operations.
  • Her experience in the projects include carrying ‘Lead’ functions for certain streams of projects like the Thabazimbi Mine Closure Project.
